In Gambia, we support schoolchildren from remote communities on their journey to education – and a bicycle is the key to making that journey possible.

In parallel, we run a support project involving inmates at Heřmanice Prison in Ostrava and Janjangbureh Prison in Gambia, as well as men in the Czech Republic reintegrating after serving their sentences. These men take part in activities that directly support mobility for children in Gambia.

In the Czech Republic, this is a tightly connected, well-structured social sub-project that gives men with various disadvantages a second chance – to return to the job market, to society, and to a life of dignity.

Kola pro Afriku works with used bicycles, giving them new life through a wide range of repairs and renovations.
And this new life becomes a powerful source of support and joy – for many people, in many places.
